I am so excited at promoting Eve Selis again in Buckingham. She played for us before in
February last year and blew us all away. And that was when she was at least 8 months
pregnant as was accompanied by just two, albeit wonderful, guitarists. This time round,
safely delivered of a son, and with a full band behind her - heaven knows what will happen.
Eve is a force of nature. As BBC DJ Bob Harris said after one of her shows, "One of the
best concerts I've ever seen in the UK. Quite breathtaking."
Eve Selis has established herself as one of the most successful independent artists in
the music industry. She has been legally downloaded over 2 million times on the Internet,
where she is a pioneer in self-marketing. Her style blends the best elements of country,
rock, pop and folk, while her songs explore heartfelt joys and sorrows of life with an
honest intensity rarely heard in contemporary music. Eve calls her style "Roadhouse Rock".
She and her stellar band have opened for Travis Tritt, Crosby Stills and Nash, The Doobie
Brothers, Joan Osborne, Dwight Yoakam, Chris Isaak, Hootie & the Blowfish, and many more.
In a world where talent, stagecraft and commitment were the basis of reward, Eve Selis
would be a huge star. As it is, she is not without critical acclaim. She has won a string
of San Diego Music Awards including 'Best Americana Act' in 2005. She made her UK debut in
2003 and has since built a considerable following over here with her high energy shows.
