Bullying, peer support systems, dyspraxia, emotional literacy, countering depression and low self esteem are very important issues for professionals involved with young people.
Our organisation delivers conferences and training related to these concepts.

Current training and publications - Challenging Girls

Val's newest training and publications are connected with her new 'Challenging Girls' series which were written in 2008. The publications are called 'Addressing Girls’ Bullying' and 'Promoting Girls’ Friendships'. They have already been discussed in articles in The Observer and The Times.

In 2006 Val wrote the book 'Understanding Girls' Friendships Fights and Feuds - A Practical Approach to Girls' Bullying'. This book generated wide press interest and Val has been interviewed by a number of national newspapers and by national television. The book is available from Open University Press/McGraw Hill. Our previous training and conferences have been entitled 'Challenging Girls', 'Understanding Girls' Friendships Fights and Feuds - A Practical Approach to Girls' Bullying', 'Serious Games - playful approaches to mental health', 'Effective Responses to Bullying in Schools', 'The Journal Be A Buddy Not A Bully Campaign Conference', 'Being There - Supportive Friends', 'Addressing Depression and Suicide in the Young' and 'Emotional Literacy'. We have also previously organised a dyspraxia conference for Gateshead LEA.
