Company Profile

We are an independent brewery based in Kettering that started brewing as a commercial licensed brewery on the 1st October 2004. I have brewed for many years as a craft brewer producing fine handcrafted full mash ales for my friends and family. I am a member of the Society of Independent brewers and The craft Brewers Association. My beer tasting skills have been developed over many years of drinking real ales and my wife, Kate and I are local members of CAMRA.

With the help and persuasion of a good friend of mine Nip Thornley, a gentleman of beer ! and the landlord at the Alexandra Arms Kettering I made the transition.

We now concentrate on producing a growing number of well accepted ales for your indulgence. Although small we pride ourselves on the high quality of the beers produced with all due diligence applied. We use only the finest Muntons Maris Otter malts and Charles Faram’s freshest hops from around the world. The brewing process employed is totally traditional, all malts are hand mashed, open fermented and skilfully cask conditioned to arrive at the bar in peak condition. As responsible brewers we also do our utmost to minimise the effects of our processes upon the environment. All our spent grain is used to feed a local dairy herd and our cooling water is recycled for the next brew, saving both electrical energy and water.

The beers are available locally in the Northampton area and regularly appear at as many beer festivals as possible. We love beer festivals so please contact us if your planning one.

The brewery tap is the Alexandra Arms Kettering, (also the location of the brewery plant) one of the remaining untouched typical English boozers . Ten hand pull beers are always available and of course at least one of these is always a Nobby's. All 14 beers have been on at the Alex and every firkin was drank in a day or two ! It is not uncommon for a firkin to sell out in 3 to 4 hours. So next time you're passing "pop in for one"..
